2006 Third Coast Audio Festival

Once again this year I stumbled across the Third Coast International Audio Festival. It’s happened for the past five years or so – I’ll have completely forgotten about this festival and hear something about it around Thanksgiving on NPR. It’s always such a treat to listen to the festival award winners.
The Third Coast Festival honors the best in documentary and feature radio work. These pieces are the kind of soul-bearing, heart-rending stories that just aren’t shared in everyday life. Listening to these two hours of audio documentaries is like being given the gift of the most intimate details of someone else’s life.
