Solaris

Just got through watching Solaris. What a thoroughly bizarre and unusual movie. I must admit I really liked it. Particularly, the way that the relationship between Clooney and his wife was portrayed. Very touching.
I wonder whether this movie was pitched as a sci-fi movie (appeals to men) crossed with a relationship movie (appeals to women). I must say I enjoyed the latter a lot more than the former.
I’m left afterward with a lot of my own thoughts. That’s the sign of a good movie, to me. It reflected back on me and made me think. And that’s what I’m sitting here doing now… thinking. Re-evaluating some things. But I won’t write about that right now.
